Now, sugar causes a lot of collagen breakdown. It binds to collagen and causes it to break down as well in a more complicated process.
So high glycemic index foods have been known to cause a lot of different skin issues.
So you have to keep a tab on the amount of sugar you are using.
There are a lot of apps these days which which help you do that and calculate how much of consumption of sugar you are doing per day.
All these caffinated drinks, sugar high, sugar rich drinks are not good for the skin.

Sun exposure, you have to enjoy safe sun. Sun does play a good role in protecting skin, but there’s a very fine line between sun damage and sun actually helping out the skin.
So a few minutes a day is actually helpful. But apart from that, you You have to use regular sunscreen to prevent photoaging and prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from getting worse, any PIH, as well as just aging in general.
And all there are some photoallergic and phototoxic disorders that actually worsen because of sun. Hence, sunscreen forms an extremely important part of your daily regimen.
What sunscreen to use, what type, what SPF, how often is determined by your dermatologist, depending on your lifestyle.
