4 Tips to Prevent Skin Dehydration
Here are the four tips to prevent skin dehydration in summer.
The first is moisturize your skin Apply a thick coat of moisturizer within 30 seconds of taking a shower.
It forms a thick coating of oil on the surface of your skin, and it prevents evaporation of water and dehydration.
The second tip most important, don’t forget your sunscreen.It in itself has a moisturizer in it, so it prevents evaporation from the exposed parts of your body.
The third is drink lots of water. At least twelve to 15 glasses of water a day is important for an adult and of a child.
Around ten to twelve glasses of water should be enough, but drink lots of water.
The next very important again, is to add fruits and vegetables which have inherent water capacity in them, like watermelons, cucumbers, spinach, mushrooms.
Try and add it in your diet. Plan your diet. What am I going to eat today? And add these things in your diet because that prevents dehydration in itself.
So if the water content of your day that day is a little less, it will be compromised and you’ll have dehydrated skin.
If you add this, you will not notice that at the end of the day and before going to bed, do not forget to again wash your face and put on a moisturizer.
It takes care of your skin at night, prevents further evaporation, dehydration, and you can wake up without getting that stretchy feel.
Do not stop your basic skin routine. That is your cleansing, toning and moisturizing.
You feel a moisturizer may not be so required during summers because it’s not very drying. But a moisturizer is very important to keep your skin hydrated.
So after a bath, remember to moisturize just not your face, but the entire body. It forms a film over the surface of your skin, prevents evaporation of water and dehydration of your skin.
Pick up a moisturizer that soothes your skin and you don’t feel very itchy or very oily when you use that moisturizer.
The other thing that you need to remember during the summer is your diet. Take a little extra care and plan the diet for your day. Add fruits like watermelons, musk melon, leachy if available.
Drink lots of juices, have soups, and also add cucumber and vegetables which are like spinach and all which have extra water in them. Even mushrooms they had inbuilt water.
So use these things. It will prevent dehydration of your skin.
